I cannot run the ScreenLogic Connect software for Mac from an ordinary user account with no admin privileges. The application begins to launch, and the ScreenLogic Connect menus appear, but that is all. The window does not appear. The ScreenLogic Connect application can be run from an admin account. See below for additional details.
QUESTIONS:
1. How can I run ScreenLogic Connect from the ordinary user account that I use every day?
2. Has anyone else encountered this bug? Are there any forum members who run their software from a user account (rather than an admin account)?
3. Who is the technical point of contact at Pentair, to whom I can report bugs? Email address? Phone number?
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
* I am technically skilled.
* I have a mid-2011 iMac, 16 Gbytes RAM, 500 Gbytes free disk space, OS X 10.9.4 Mavericks.
* I have replicated this bug on a 2007 MacBook Pro, 4 Gbytes RAM, 50 Gbytes free disk space, OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion.
* I am unable to Quit or Forcibly Quit the ScreenLogic Connect application from its menus when launched from the user account.
* The only way to quit the Screen Logic Connect application in the user account is to use the operating system's 'cmd-opt-esc' to force quit it.
* Even then, if I switch users to the admin account, ScreenLogic Connect reports that another user is running the application. The only way to fix that problem is to reboot the Mac. Logging out of the user account is not sufficient.

PERSONAL COMMENTS:
* This is a bug. The ScreenLogic Connect application should not require OS X admin privileges to run.
* I cannot Quit the ScreenLogic Connect application when running from the admin account. I must use the 'Forcibly Quit' menu item.
* In my opinion, the fact that there are both a Quit menu item AND a 'Forcibly Quit' menu item in a Mac application is bizarre.
* I tried the toll free support line. With respect, the support technicians were not able to help. To be honest, they do not appear to be very familiar with Macs. They were very helpful to troubleshoot my initial connection to the Inter, which turned out to be a disconnected wire from the panel.
* To me, this appears to be a file protection bug of some type.
In advance, thanks for any comments or suggestions you may have.
